Time For Some Honesty

I probably should admit a little something....

I had a big old NaNoWriMo fail.

My count stand still at 9,284.

Uhm...yeah.

But for what it's worth, it was all words for my WIP and now that's done and out to beta readers.

Yipee!

Did any of you win NaNo?

I did. I hit 50,018! Now I am doing edits and getting feedback from beta readers and CP's!

Grats on your achievement!

Yeah...um... nope. But last year I hit over 100,000 so I think that counts for two years. That works right?

I made it! 50,960 words in 28 days. But... yeah. It fell a little flat by the end. I keep telling myself that it was more an exercise than an actual draft, which is true. But still. There will be some major reworking to do when/if I decide to revisit it. Good to be back with the WiP from before (it was my true love, anyway).

You finished your wip. I'd say you won :-)

I am with Sarah. I call finishing you WIP a win. I didn't make it either; believe my word count still hovers around 40,000k

Let's not talk about Nano. I wrote about 3000 words. But I really needed to and still do finish editing my wip.

Thanks for sharing.

Can't win if you don't play, lol, so no, I did not. But congrats on finishing your WIP!

HAHA! This made me lol because I'm in the same boat as you, pretty much. I wasn't participating in NaNo but still wanted to write a LOT of words, only got about 10K in. In the words of Jeff Goldblum from Jurassic Park..."Must go faster." LOL!

Lovely honesty. ;o) Well, that's 9,284 words more than you had before, right??? I didn't do NaNo, nope (I don't write well that way, doing forced word counts).

Hey, if you finished you WIP that's just as important as winning Nano. I don't see how anyone could do nano if they're an English teacher. Where would they find the time?
