The Future of Publishing: There is Still Hope

Have you seen this?

Am I weird if I say it made me a little teary eyed?

Dorling Kindersley used it as a promotional video for their employees and it's since gone viral. Watch it all the way through. It's worth it!

Also, I have some great questions from readers. If you have any, send them my way no later than tomorrow (Friday) night and I'll do my best to answer them all. Read this post for information.

Wow Rachele, you were up early this morning. Or maybe you live somewhere east of here. Anyway that is such a sad but beautiful little video. I'm at work so I didn't have the audio but it still touched me.

I've seen forward reverse word play videos like this before but never applied to something I care about as much as books, writing and the publishing industry.

I have to agree with the producer though ... there will always be hope.

I do have to say one important thing: To all the other novice writers out there (including me). I know we're poor but if we ever expect to get published we've got to shell out our hard earned money for books. Especially hard cover, first-run debut novels by first time authors.

The head of our local SCBWI chapter sent this out to our listserve, and I forwarded it to my writing groups. Pretty cool.
